1. What are cookies?
This cookie notice applies to Visense AS (company registration no. 933 913 406), hereinafter "Visense", "we" or "us", and our use of cookies on our websites and in our portal solutions.
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website or use a digital service. Some cookies are necessary for the service to function, while others are used for analysis and improvement of the services.
The cookie notice supplements our privacy notice, which describes how Visense otherwise processes personal data. See the privacy notice at visense.no for further information.
2. Categories of cookies
2.1 Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies are required for the services to function. Among other things, they ensure that you remain logged in during a session, that language settings are remembered, and that basic functions in the portals work as intended. These cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a functional and secure service, cf. GDPR Article 6(1)(f), and do not require consent.
2.2 Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies are used to understand how visitors use our services, so that we can improve them over time. Some of the tools we use are cookieless and do not require consent. Others set cookies and are only activated if you have given consent via the cookie banner.

The table below provides an overview of the analytics and tracking tools used by Visense, including information on category, which solutions the tool is used in, purpose, retention period and provider.

4. Third parties and transfer to countries outside the EU/EEA
Some of the tools we use have their infrastructure wholly or partly located outside the EU/EEA. Where this is the case, Visense ensures that the transfer takes place in accordance with GDPR Chapter V, including through the use of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCC) or another lawful transfer mechanism.
- Plausible Analytics stores all data within the EU. See plausible.io/data-policy.
- PostHog offers EU data storage for collected data. Any transfer to PostHog Inc. in the USA takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Sentry (Functional Software Inc.) is a US service. Transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Squarespace (Squarespace Inc.) is a US service. Transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
5. How to manage your settings
5.1 Cookie banner
When you visit visense.no or one of Visense's portals for the first time, you will, where required, be presented with a cookie banner where you can choose which categories of cookies you wish to allow. You can change your settings at any time.
5.2 Browser settings
You can also manage cookies directly in your browser. Please note that if you block all cookies, certain functions in the services may stop working.
5.3 Withdrawal of consent
You can withdraw a consent you have given at any time, by changing your settings in the cookie banner or by contacting us at kontakt@visense.no. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
6. Updates to the cookie notice
Visense updates this cookie notice in the event of changes to the tools used or to applicable law. The updated version is always available at visense.no and upon login to the relevant portal.
